Nessuno me l’aveva detto…ma il topinambur è una bomba!!!! L’ho appena scoperto e già ne sono pazza!

Sa di carciofo senza richiedere tutto quel lavoro per pulirlo, si prepara in poco tempo, ha un gusto morbido, insomma è perfetto! Ho inaugurato la stagione del topinambur (perchè è una certezza che ormai è lui la mia nuova fissa!:-) con una vellutata (ma dai???).

Ho preso un paio di topinambur (calcolate almeno 150 grammi a porzione) e una patata, li ho pelati e tagliati a tocchetti. Con uno scalogno e uno spicchio d’aglio ho fatto un soffritto in un tegame con un cucchiaio d’olio. Ho messo prima il topinambur, e poi la patata. Ho unito qualche foglia di sedano (per dare sapore, ma non e’ essenziale), coprendo con il brodo vegetale e facendo cuocere per una ventina di minuti almeno. Quando le verdure sono diventate morbide, ho frullato il tutto e ho impiattato. Senza parole…:-)

Jerusalem artichokes…discovering warm water!

No one had told me … but the Jerusalem artichoke is great!!!! I’ve just found out, and I’m already mad of it!

It tastes of artichoke without requiring all that work to clean it, it needs short time to prepare it, it has a smooth taste, so it’s perfect! I opened the season of Jerusalem artichoke (because it is certainty that from now on it is my new food-addiction!:-) with a soup (really???).

I took a couple of Jerusalem artichoke (calculated about 150 grams each person) and a potato, I peeled and cut them into chunks. I put a shallot and a clove of garlic in a pan with a tablespoon of oil, and then added the Jerusalem artichoke first, and then the potato. I put some celery leaf, covered with vegetable broth and cooked for about twenty minutes at least. When the vegetables became soft, I blended them all together and put in the plate. No words..:-)
